WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TODAY? You should be embedding your quotes which means that you will include the author/title before the evidence. When citing your texts, for Into the Wild, please use page numbers after the quote. For example, Early in Into the Wild, Krakauerexplains how McCandless views wealth when he writes, Her son, the teenage Tolstoyan, believed that wealth was shameful, corrupting, inherently evil which is ironic because Chris was a natural born capitalist with an uncanny knack for making a buck (115). When citing your texts for any of the Transcendental pieces, you should be finding a way to embed the evidence before the quote with the title and author. For example, In Civil Disobedience Thoreau expresses his beliefs on nonconformity when he writes, If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Please italicize book titles: Into the Wild Please use quotes for all Transcendental pieces: Nature, Self-Reliance, Walden, Civil Disobedience
