What are grains? A grain is a seed harvested from a plant. Wheat, quinoa (keen-wah), corn, oats, and rice are all grains. Whole grains provide important carbohydrates, protein, fiber and vitamins.
What is a bushel? A bushel is a unit used to measure grains = = of flour = = 42 pounds 1 bushel of wheat 1,000,000 kernels OR 45 boxes of wheat cereal
Did you know popcorn is a special type of grain that comes from small ears of corn called Zea Mays Everta. It s the only type of corn that can pop.
