Tournaments

Teams play 3 summer tournaments
Weekends mid-April to mid-July
Season Plan outlines potential tournaments/number of tournaments
and whether in-town or out-of-town
Your Season Plan is available in PlayMetrics on the Resources tab
'Select' and 'Academy' teams could have out-of-state tournaments
 connect with
your coach
Navy teams play local tournaments; out-of-town tournaments are optional, coach
must agree and parents need to pay coach’s travel/hotel/food costs

Tournaments

List of recommended tournaments on Fusion website
here
Coach chooses tournaments, in consultation with AGD (Age Group Director)
and/or DOC (Director of Coaching)
Before registering, review you coach's tournament choices:
Your coach
must
be available to coach that weekend
Double-check Tournament Allowance (budget) before registering
Note that NSC tournaments are expensive!
USA Cup Weekend – only for U9/U10 teams and U11+ Academy/Select teams
Register by March 31
If playing in an out-of-town tournament,
reserve block of hotel rooms ASAP!
Ask coach if he/she wants you to reserve their room too

Tournaments

To Register:
Registration link in Recommended Tournaments website, or Google the tournament
name
Managers use personal credit card for registration fee, then submit Competitive
Reimbursement form – form on Fusion’s website under Managers – Tournaments
Team Name Format: ‘Fusion <Gender> <Birth Year> <Acad/Select/Navy> <#>’
E.g.
Fusion Girls 2010 Navy 1

or
Fusion Boys 2015 Academy 2

do not use ‘U9’ in the
team name
Level of Play: ask your coach, example: Gold/Silver/Bronze (see Salvo's
description); U9/10 teams usually play "Jamboree" bracket
Submit Reimbursement request to Lisa Pole
Forward registration confirmation that shows how much $ paid
To Check-In:
Most tournaments have online check-in a few weeks before the tournament  - read
check-in instructions carefully and early!

Age Group/Birth Year/ U-Level Chart

Listed on Fusion website: Managers-Tournaments website

NSC Club Account
: Spring Cup/Kickoff
Challenge/All American Cup/USA Cup MN
Qualifier

Use Fusion’s Club Account ID to pay registration fee
Do NOT use if your Tournament Allowance doesn’t have enough money left
Do NOT use for USA Cup or USA Weekend Cup
Fusion will pay registration fees for teams who use Fusion’s NSC Club Account
ID, payment made behind the scenes
Note Early Bird discount, need to use promo code to receive, see Tournament List
Registration cost will come out of your team’s Tournament Allowance
NSC does offer multi-team discounts, but they are credited to Fusion behind the scenes at the
end of the summer, no way to credit to your team, unfortunately
Most multi-team discounts (e.g. NSC, Salvo) come back to Fusion, rather than your team
Deb will send an email with instructions for using NSC Club Account ID

TCSL Final Four tournament

Tournament dates: July 12-14
Teams must opt-in and qualify to play
Cannot register until early July, you’ll receive an email invitation if your team
qualifies
Teams can opt-out up to early June, more info coming in May
Qualify based on team standings in your age/gender/division
Ex: Boys 09 Navy 1 invited to play if they are 1 of 4 top teams in Boys U15 State
group
Check TCSL/Leagues website for standings during the season
Tournament Allowance won’t cover the cost if your team has already played 3
tournaments, families must pay = $395

MN Cup

MN Cup
– May 29-June 2 for
U13
 and older top-level teams
Many Select teams have this listed in your Season Plan
Winner of Super Group advances to National Cup Finals in Denver: Boys July 18-22,
Girls July 21-25
If your team is playing MN Cup-Super Group and you think you could win, have your coach
check with their AGD and DOC before signing up for USA Cup
Winner of Premier Group advances to US Club Midwest Regionals, June 14-17 in
Chicago
US Club Midwest Regionals
– all teams are able to play!
MN Cup Premier group winners advance to this tournament automatically
All other TCSL/NPL teams are able to register themselves and play
June 14-17 in Chicago, IL

money from parents
Use Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, etc. to collect from parents
Do not need to submit to Fusion once you've spent your budget
