Team Manager Responsibilities Administrative support to the team and coach Communicate practice and game schedules to parents Manage team s GotSport account, including printing match cards and player passes and rescheduling games due to coach conflict or field closures Register for tournaments, complete tournament paperwork and tournament check-in

Tournaments Teams play 3 summer tournaments Weekends mid-April to mid-July Season Plan outlines potential tournaments/number of tournaments and whether in-town or out-of-town Your Season Plan is available in PlayMetrics on the Resources tab 'Select' and 'Academy' teams could have out-of-state tournaments connect with your coach Navy teams play local tournaments; out-of-town tournaments are optional, coach must agree and parents need to pay coach s travel/hotel/food costs

Tournaments List of recommended tournaments on Fusion website here Coach chooses tournaments, in consultation with AGD (Age Group Director) and/or DOC (Director of Coaching) Before registering, review you coach's tournament choices: Your coach must be available to coach that weekend Double-check Tournament Allowance (budget) before registering Note that NSC tournaments are expensive! USA Cup Weekend only for U9/U10 teams and U11+ Academy/Select teams Register by March 31 If playing in an out-of-town tournament, reserve block of hotel rooms ASAP! Ask coach if he/she wants you to reserve their room too

Tournaments To Register: Registration link in Recommended Tournaments website, or Google the tournament name Managers use personal credit card for registration fee, then submit Competitive Reimbursement form form on Fusion s website under Managers Tournaments Team Name Format: Fusion <Gender> <Birth Year> <Acad/Select/Navy> <#> E.g. Fusion Girls 2010 Navy 1 or Fusion Boys 2015 Academy 2 do not use U9 in the team name Level of Play: ask your coach, example: Gold/Silver/Bronze (see Salvo's description); U9/10 teams usually play "Jamboree" bracket Submit Reimbursement request to Lisa Pole Forward registration confirmation that shows how much $ paid To Check-In: Most tournaments have online check-in a few weeks before the tournament - read check-in instructions carefully and early!

NSC Club Account: Spring Cup/Kickoff Challenge/All American Cup/USA Cup MN Qualifier Use Fusion s Club Account ID to pay registration fee Do NOT use if your Tournament Allowance doesn t have enough money left Do NOT use for USA Cup or USA Weekend Cup Fusion will pay registration fees for teams who use Fusion s NSC Club Account ID, payment made behind the scenes Note Early Bird discount, need to use promo code to receive, see Tournament List Registration cost will come out of your team s Tournament Allowance NSC does offer multi-team discounts, but they are credited to Fusion behind the scenes at the end of the summer, no way to credit to your team, unfortunately Most multi-team discounts (e.g. NSC, Salvo) come back to Fusion, rather than your team Deb will send an email with instructions for using NSC Club Account ID

TCSL Final Four tournament Tournament dates: July 12-14 Teams must opt-in and qualify to play Cannot register until early July, you ll receive an email invitation if your team qualifies Teams can opt-out up to early June, more info coming in May Qualify based on team standings in your age/gender/division Ex: Boys 09 Navy 1 invited to play if they are 1 of 4 top teams in Boys U15 State group Check TCSL/Leagues website for standings during the season Tournament Allowance won t cover the cost if your team has already played 3 tournaments, families must pay = $395

MN Cup MN Cup May 29-June 2 for U13 and older top-level teams Many Select teams have this listed in your Season Plan Winner of Super Group advances to National Cup Finals in Denver: Boys July 18-22, Girls July 21-25 If your team is playing MN Cup-Super Group and you think you could win, have your coach check with their AGD and DOC before signing up for USA Cup Winner of Premier Group advances to US Club Midwest Regionals, June 14-17 in Chicago US Club Midwest Regionals all teams are able to play! MN Cup Premier group winners advance to this tournament automatically All other TCSL/NPL teams are able to register themselves and play June 14-17 in Chicago, IL

Budget Tournament Allowance amount of money Fusion has available for tournament registration fees and coach travel expenses Listed at top of Season Plan, see PlayMetrics - Resources tab Keep allowance in mind when selecting tournaments, some are very expensive! (especially NSC and USA Cup tournaments) Track expenses and reimbursements on Budget Form (or any spreadsheet, a notebook, etc) Any additional costs/expenses over Tournament Allowance collect money from parents Use Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, etc. to collect from parents Do not need to submit to Fusion once you've spent your budget

Budget Reimbursement Submit Competitive Team Reimbursement Form from Fusion website (Managers - Tournaments) plus original receipts Email the reimbursement form plus email receipt with tournament registration confirmation to Lisa Pole Coach expenses for out-of-town tournament: coach should submit original receipts to you right away, fill out Comp Reimb form and send all to Lisa within 2 weeks Updated Travel Policy and Coach Reimbursement on Manager-Tournaments website: https://www.fusionsoccermn.com/tournamentresources If your team goes to an out-of-town tournament, the team pays 1 coach s food, gas/mileage/airfare, and hotel costs up to a set maximum found in travel policy No coach mileage reimbursement for local/Twin Cities metro tournaments

TCSL and NPL Key Dates Feb. 13 NPL blackout dates due Feb. 28 TCSL blackout dates due March 1 NPL schedules *should* be published March 18 TCSL schedules *should* be published March 18-April 1 (approx.) Reschedule window May 1 TCSL games begin June 20 NPL games end (?) to allow time for playoffs July 8 TCSL games (U11+) must finish July 12-14 TCSL Final Four tournament (must opt-in) July 15-21 BY 2016, 2015, 2014 tryout date range July 27-Aug 2 BY 2013 and older tryout date range

Blackout Dates Blackout Dates dates your coach is unavailable to coach during the summer season: April 29-July 2 Blackout dates must be submitted to TCSL via GotSport by: Feb. 13 for NPL teams Feb. 28 for TCSL teams TCSL needs only needs to know blackout dates that fall on your team s Play Nights Play Nights found here: https://www.tcslsoccer.com/summer-2024-play-nights-by- division/ Each team gets only 4 blackout dates (which fall on play nights) Ask your coach to send you dates when they are out of town or genuinely can t coach from Apr 29-Jul 2 (no games 5/27 or 7/3-5) Ask about weddings! College coaches: finals week should be listed as blackout dates High School coaches: graduation, Open House, and Prom weekends should be listed Coach 2 teams: weekends their other team has a tournament should be listed

Blackout Dates Sample team: Boys 11 Navy 1 Check U-level chart: they are a U13 team (born in 2011) Check Fall 2023 schedule (click here) to find level for U13 team: State Check Play Nights chart: U13 State Boys = Tues/Thurs Coach blackout dates: May 24-26 wedding, June 10-16 vacation Tues/Thurs play nights that conflict with play nights = June 11,13 Don t register for tournaments weekends of May 24-26 or June 14-16 *Example: Submit June 11 and 13 as blackout dates in GotSport by Feb. 28, or email them to Lisa Pole by Feb. 25
