Fun with Action Verbs: Create Exciting Sentences!

Using verbs (action words)
1.
Read the verbs around the pyramid
2.
Use the verb find most interesting to create a sentence about you or a
favourite character.  You can change the tense verb.
3.
Use a connective to give your sentence detail about why, how, when, who,
where etc.
4.
Check your punctuation!
Commas and clauses
1.
When
 you 
begin
 your sentence with a connective
,
 
use
 a comma
before
 
starting
 the second clause.  Every clause 
has
 a verb or verb
phrase (blue).  This 
can help you find 
the clauses
,
 
which
 
are usually
separated 
by a connective (green).
2.
If
 the connective 
can’t be put 
at the beginning of the sentence
,
 
put
a comma before it. (Examples: which, but, or, and, then, yet,
therefore.)

  2. Commas and clauses 1. When you begin your sentence with a connective, use a comma before starting the second clause. Every clause has a verb or verb phrase (blue).
