FLOWING GAME! DECK OF CARDS DRILL Have a flowsheet with at least 2 columns I m going to slowly tell you a card (google deck of cards) and then you are going to flow each card I say How did that go? Now, I m on the other side responding so I ll say Against the Ace of Spades, I disagree because Queen of Diamonds. etc. You flow that. How did that go? Now I m going to go faster. Can you keep up?
DEFEND IT GAME! 1 student makes an argument Another student disagrees with the argument The student defends the argument Judge makes a decision about who won, explains why. If the student defending wins, they stay as the argument maker and makes the next argument If the student defending loses, the responder student makes the next argument.
QUESTION AND ANSWER GAME! 1 student makes an argument Another student asks a question about the argument The student responds to the question Judge makes a decision: Was the question or the response better? Judge should explain how to question/answer better. If the student responding wins, they stay as the argument maker and makes the next argument If the student questioning wins, the questioner student makes the next argument.
I DISAGREE GAME! 1 student makes an argument Another student disagrees with the argument Go through all the students giving them the chance to do both sides.
SELL IT! Each student has $500 that they must spend Each student picks a product or service to sell. The price must be between $200 and $500 and be a realistic price for the product/service. Each student makes a case for the product/service (up to 1 minute long) Other students can ask questions (for an additional minute maximum) Then, after all students have done their sales pitches, each student announces how they will spend their $500.
BOAT RIDE GOES BAD . . . You are set to go on a 3 hour tour Skipper and Gilligan are ready to give you a great boat ride and tell you that You can bring 1 item with you that does not weigh over 10 pounds Announce to the group your item Well . . . a storm hits and you get stuck on a rock about a mile from an island The Skipper tells you that you have a lifesaver boat but that the group can only take 2 of the items to the island regardless of their weight Which 2 do you choose?
