Pick ONE: 5-4-3-2-1 Think of: 5 things you can see 4 things you can touch 3 things you can hear 2 things you can smell 1 thing you can taste Or Mindfulness Moment Try one of the following poses: 1. The Superman: this pose is practiced by standing with the feet just wider than the hips, fists clenched, and arms reached out to the sky, stretching the body as tall as possible. The Wonder Woman: this pose is struck by standing tall with legs wider than hip-width apart and hands or fists placed on the hips (Karen Young, 2017). 2. Ask the kids how they feel after a few rounds of trying either of these poses.
Spiced Trail Mix 1 cup peanuts or other nuts 1 cup raisins or other dried fruit 1 cup sunflower or pumpkin seeds 1 cup bite-sized pretzels, dry cereal, or crackers 1 tablespoon paprika or cinnamon Salt, to taste 1 cup dried shredded coconut, chocolate chips, or dried fruit, optional Spiced Trail Mix recipe
Fruit Skewers Pick at least 4 different fruits, cut into pieces and alternate on the wooden skewer. Fruits we like: Apples, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, grapes, oranges, mango, kiwi, apricot and melon. Place on a platter and serve with a dip of your choice.
