Fun and Festive Activities for the National Santa Dash Event

Hello,
The information sent out about the
National Santa Dash
has generated a lot of excitement about taking part. However. I
have had a lot of emails asking what activities to do . The general
idea is to just have festive fun. You could organise a
Festive Fancy
Dress
Fun Run on
the playground,
Reindeer’ Relay Races
or a
Elves Present Search
(like an easter egg hunt). The main idea is to
get children active and involved. Please try to make it a big event
on social media and emphasise the importance of being active.
This PowerPoint has resources for the
Elves Present Search
. Santa
is the teacher who sends the elves (pupils) looking for presents.
Santa needs the elves to tell him how many there are of each
present (number code)
Slide 2 is a reminder of timetable and social media tags.
Slides 3 and 4. – These slides have 24 pictures of presents to be
cut up and pinned to fences , trees , gates etc on school
grounds. Attach them where children can see and read easily
Slides 5,6 and 7 – These are answer cards that the elves (pupils)
have to complete. They have to find 4 presents per card and
write down the code number. They can also note the location eg
gate or bench. They do not remove picture from location.
