Participate in the Annual FP Partners Meeting to reflect on findings, identify challenges, and brainstorm priority areas for accelerating FP progress. Get recommendations for future FP strategies and focus areas. Engage in group work discussions and share actions and recommendations with government groups to inform key areas of focus for FP programs and stakeholders.

Group work: Objectives 01 Reflect on the FP portfolio-level findings Identify challenges and brainstorm priority areas to accelerate FP progress in the future 02 Get recommendations to inform future FP strategies for Federal and state FP planning 03 3
Group work plan Work group setup Group discussion Presentation While in your groups (30 minutes), participants will: Groups present their top actions and recommendations (8 minutes per group) Participants are divided into ToC/government groups that they self-selected when registering for the meeting: Assign A group facilitator who will facilitate the discussion A secretary who will take notes and fill out the provided template Government (with TSU & ASG) Enabling environment Use the provided template, and reflect on the portfolio results to: Identify the biggest challenge & most important action moving forward for your ToC area; Recommend one key area where FP programs and stakeholders should focus. Group work: Discussion questions Below, please find a list of suggested questions to help facilitate the group discussion. However, you don t have to discuss all the questions, and instead, you can focus on filling out the provided template. Reflection 1 What did you find surprising or most important/interesting both positive and negative in the findings for this ToC area? 2 What do these findings mean to the work your organization is doing now (e.g., facilitating factors, challenges/gaps)? 3 What do these findings mean to achieving national FP goals (e.g., facilitating factors, challenges/gaps)? Action 4 Moving forward, what is ONE key priority areas or actions that you and/or other partners would do to accelerate progress in the ToC area in the future? 5 Reflecting on the findings, would you recommend ONE key solutions or areas where FP program or stakeholders should focus in the future within the ToC area? Report out 2020 priority actions: Demand generation (1) ONE key challenge (based on the findings) High false beliefs among youth ONE TWO key priority areas/ actions moving forward (not more than 2) What Why How Who 1. Institutionalize/operationalize social mobilization at the state level. Social mobilization officers and health education officers should have FP as part of their TOR (term of reference) Focus is on other health programs and not on FP. This will support an integrated system and may be sustainable. Strengthen existing structure in the state Infuse FP messaging into existing health programs/initiatives Government Partners 2. Explore the use of digital media to reach youth. To use correct FP messaging to demystify false beliefs amongst youth Infuse entertainment education elements Memorable messaging/ framing messages that resonate with youth Government Partners
Report out 2020 priority actions: Demand generation (2) RECOMMENDATIONS for FP programs and stakeholders ONE key solution/area where FP programs and stakeholders should focus on What Why How Who Leveraging traditional and religious leaders as FP champions to promote FP messaging among women and youth Traditional/Religious leaders have strong influence within their community. It is necessary to gain endorsement that will allow for dissemination of proper FP messaging/information and services. Amplification of FP messaging found within holy books. FP conversations led by leaders during community meetings Sensitize stakeholders on the benefits of FP beyond health (FP is a critical pillar of demographic dividend) Government Partners ONE key area where FP programs and stakeholders should not focus on. Why? What Why Interventions or programs that cannot be institutionalized or embedded within existing structures This is not sustainable.
