The First Year Experience (FYE) Pilot Program is designed to support first-year college students, including those who are first-generation, have disabilities, qualify for financial aid, are single parents, foster youth, or veterans. The program offers classes in various subjects, with a focus on individualized education plans and potential Math 105 class in the spring. Students are recruited through campus events, community programs, and word-of-mouth, aiming to enroll two cohorts of 25-30 students each. Challenges exist in class caps for GE courses, requiring careful consideration for optimal enrollment strategies.
