International Future Earth MK, HL, SM discussion with Veera Mitzner, Futureearth.org on 27.April Empower and strengthen the National Networks FE Summit Planning Committee inviting the National Networks to register their representatives to the virtual Future Earth Summit on 15-17 June 2 representatives per each National Network: HL, SM registered Summit: FE External Review's recommendations over the next year; it will be essential to involve the whole Future Earth community Future Earth Annual report 2019 Future Earth Finland organized a well-attended event on climate change and health at the University of Helsinki in November 2019 and continued to contribute to the PEEX "Pan-Eurasian Experiment" study a multidisciplinary climate change, air quality, environment and research infrastructure program focused on the Northern Eurasian particularly arctic and boreal regions. "
European Future Earth National Committees Meeting with the European National Committees on 28.April Discussion on the potential collaboration between NC(s) i. To organize a Future Earth National Committees Summit ii. To establish Online platform on European NC(s): member contacts, planned projects, disciplines covered, research topics, funding opportunities (in progress) iii. To write a joint White Paper Societal impact of sustainability research and transdisciplinarity / science- policy interface How can new forms of resilience be created? Integration of young scientists in international research
European Future Earth National Committees To enhance the NC(s) connections to international Future Earth Letter Let s Push the Already Open Door singed by several the National Committees the Future Earth Task Force Key arguments in the letter: National Networks and Committees are strengthening their own networking but they need to be recognized as key members of the Future Earth community.
