  1. The Victorians Inventions By Sarah Weaver.

  2. The penny farthing The penny farthing was a bike invented in the 1871 by a British engineer James Starley . It started to be popular in the 1880s. We now have bikes with even wheels. A penny farthing had a bigger wheel then the back because it would give a smoother ride and to make it faster on all except steep hills.

  3. Jelly babies Jelly babies were made in the 1864 and were originally called unclaimed babies. Jelly babies were made by an Austrian who worked at fryers of Lancashire. By 1918 they were produced by Bassett's in Sheffield to mark the end of world war 1.

  4. Morse code Morse code is a way of messaging without using a phone. It was invented by Samuel Morse. It was developed in the 1830s and 1840s. Morse code is a collection of dots and dashes.

  5. Easter eggs Easter eggs were first made by JS Fry of Bristol. The were made in the Uk in 1873. Cadbury then launched its version two years later. Easter eggs were decorated by hand in Victorian times. Victorian Easter eggs were made from dark chocolate and tasted bitter to what they taste like now.

  6. Victorian cars Cars were first invented by Karl Benz in 1885 but only rich people could afford them. Karl Benz was a German engineer. The people in the car would have a special attendant walking in front of the car to help warn other people that car was coming.
