  1. Earth science Portfolio Project By Alexis

  2. Food chain: Larva Larva (Secondary Consumer) Insects (Primary Consumer) Grass (Producer)

  3. Cellular respiration: Larva Gas exchange of the developing embryo and even of early larval stages.

  4. Food chain: Owl Grass hopper (Primary Consumer) Owl (Tertiary Consumer) Mouse/rodent (Secondary Consumer) Grass (Producer)

  5. Cellular respiration: Owl Birds can breathe through the mouth or the nostrils.

  6. Owls and endangerment: Owls are currently being threatened by loss of habitat and logging and climate change. If the habitat of owls continue to disappear then the population of the owls will decrease more.

  7. Larva endangerment: Google answer: we have denuded soils of their nutrients, and polluted them with heavy metals and salts.

  8. 4 spheres and what I d do to help: With the biosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere: I would try to make sure that there is no garbage in the waters, and where the living are, which would also increase the pollution in the air. For the geosphere: I would try to make sure that the land are safe for the animals, by maybe tyding it up and making sure there s no things that could endanger any animals.

  9. Definition of a decomposer: An organism such as a fungus or invertebrate that decomposes organic material.

  10. Symbiotic relationship Owl/larva: The owl is the attacker in this instance. The mice would be the prey to the owl. Which the relationship would be attack and prey. According to Google, larva protect themselves from hungry predators. Some such as caterpillars sometimes even camouflage themselves from the prey.

  11. Conclusion/ Story: On this planet, there are many animals, insects and living things. But there s one animal I chose to write about. The owl. The owl travels during the seasons to find a home. I d say it got here, by flying and the warmth/coldness in our area. Our home is their home. There s so much space on our land for anyone anything. So this owl chose to come here.
