Exploring the Individual Arts Assessment Pathway
The Individual Arts Assessment Pathway (IAAP) offers high school students a unique 4+1 graduation option focusing on arts education. Students engage in a locally determined three-unit arts sequence, showcasing growth over time through creative works. The IAAP benefits students by enhancing cognitive skills essential for future success. Unit One guides students through initiating their IAAP journey, from gaining information to selecting creative works. The pathway emphasizes professional development and awareness among stakeholders. An example course included is ART 137: History of Theatre/Acting, which covers theatre arts introduction, genre history, playwrights, and more.
