Grandma Now we will use some of these expanded noun phrases to write a description of Grandma in full sentences. I will show you a couple of examples .
Grandma Carefully read this first example. What do you think? Grandma is a miserable old grouch who is always moaning. She has pale brown teeth and large, wicked eyes. Her pale pink lips are puckered like a dogs bottom! She spends all day long sitting in her armchair gazing out of the window.
Grandma Listen carefully to this example. What do you think? Grandma is a very old, miserable grouch who NEVER stops moaning and complaining. She really is disgusting! Her small mouth is filled with sharp, pale brown teeth, sharp like needles. She has large, wicked, eyes that stare and glare angrily across the room, searching for poor George. Her thin, pale pink lips are wrinkled, puckered and creased like a dogs bottom! Her long, pale pink nose is very large and bends like a boomerang! She really is a horrible, vile old lady who loves to eat slimy slugs, creepy caterpillars and wiggly worms. Grandma spends all day long sitting in her comfortable armchair gazing out of the window thinking evil thoughts and plotting her next tricks to play on George.
Your Task Use your expanded noun phrases and all the details you know about Grandma to write a detailed description. Try to include as many details, expanded noun phrases and features as you can. I look forward to reading your descriptions later today!
