Exploring Eulogies in 'Of Mice and Men' - English 12 Classroom Session Summary
In this English 12 classroom session, students explored the theme of death in Steinbeck's 'Of Mice and Men' by discussing and writing eulogies for various characters and events in the novel, such as the deaths of mice, Lennie's puppy, Curley's wife, Candy's dog, and ultimately, Lennie himself. Through activities, discussions, and eulogy writing tasks, students engaged with the text in a creative and reflective manner, culminating in a deadline for submitting their eulogies. The session included self-assessment, eulogy definition, reading aloud, and preparation for an upcoming quiz and film viewing.
