What Christian values have we learned about this year? love courage hope
How can we show these values? Our Vision Statement Life in all its fullness (John 10:10) Our vision is to ensure that our school family are happy and fulfilled in a creative learning environment. This is flexible and caters to individual needs while developing a life-long love for learning through which all members can flourish. We nurture an aspirational family of hard-working, respectful individuals who work collaboratively.
A reminder that all parts of our Service are invitational please simply be respectful and mindful of the participation of others.
This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
What do the three candles represent?
A clue to our Bible reading From little acorns, mighty oaks will grow
Todays bible message comes from the new testament of the bible: Matthew 13:31-32 The Gospel of Matthew is the first book of the New Testament of the Bible. The Parable of the Mustard Seed
The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A man takes a mustard seed and sows it in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows up, it is the biggest of all plants. It becomes a tree, so that birds come and make their nests in its branches.'
How many Christians do you think are in Britain today? 27.5 million people How many Christians do you think there are in the world? 2.4 billion
Yet Christianity all began with one person (Jesus) who was born in a very ordinary place (a stable), who grew up in an ordinary home, in an ordinary town. For 33 years no one really noticed him. Jesus' life and the lives of many people down through history show us that from small beginnings something big can happen. One person can make a difference to the world, no matter how small and unimportant they might seem.
Do you recognise any of these people who have made a difference to our world?
A moment to think - What will you do to make a difference to the world around you? Will you say a kind word to someone who is sad? Will you help someone to do something difficult? Will you take care of the earth's resources by recycling something? Will you cheer up the people around you with your smile? Will those you meet today find that the world is a brighter place because of you?
This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
You may put you hands together, bow your heads or simply reflect quietly, Dear God, hope grow Christian make a difference help others make the world a better place Amen
