About Victoria Williamson I'm a children's author and qualified teacher who grew up in Glasgow hooked on books and adventure! After studying Physics at the University of Glasgow, I set out on my own real life adventures, which included teaching Maths and Science in Cameroon, training teachers in Malawi, teaching English in China and working with children with additional support needs in the UK. I divide my time between writing, visiting schools, speaking at festivals, and running workshops to encourage young people of all ages to write their own stories and exercise their imaginations. About Victorias Work Published novels include: The Fox Girl and the White Gazelle (2018 Floris Books) The Boy with the Butterfly Mind (2019 Floris Books) Based her experiences of teaching children with diverse backgrounds. These have been shortlisted for a number of awards, as well as winning the 2020/21 Bolton Children s Fiction Award.
About Victorias Work Published novels include: Her latest book, Hag Storm (Cranachan Publishing 2021), is a spooky historical fiction novel based on the life of the young Robert Burns and his encounters with the witches from his poem Tam o Shanter.
