Today I am going to talk about our experience at the Odum Institute of applying for the Data Seal of Approval in order to demonstrate our trustworthiness. I am going to specifically highlight a few examples of how we used the functionalities of the Dataverse in our application.
And I will also talk a little bit about our plans moving forward for when we re-apply for DSA certification.
The Odum Institute showcases its trustworthiness through its DataVerse platform and Data Seal of Approval, emphasizing accessibility, reliability, and responsibility in managing research data. Researchers and archivists collaborate to ingest and curate data, ensuring usability and citability. Odum's Data Seal of Approval guidelines provide clear criteria for data producers, repositories, and consumers. Their Data Stewardship and Archiving Strategy outlines policies and responsibilities, enabling users to access and reference data seamlessly.
