In response to frequent load shedding affecting water supply, Beaufort West Municipality undertook projects to equip pump stations with generators and upgrade boreholes. Funding was received to enhance emergency services, ensuring continuity in water supply during power outages. Plans for future energy infrastructure projects aim to further reduce dependency on the grid, with initiatives such as solar panel installations and a solar plant construction in progress.
