1S Series: Graduation Rates (1S1, 1S2) by Adjusted Cohort Denominator Numerator In adjusted 4-year (1S1) or 5-year (1S2) cohort for high school completion in the report year. In denominator. Earned a diploma, GED, or other ODE- recognized equivalent in the report year. Left high school in the report year as a CTE Concentrator Oregon Department of Education 8

Mathematics (2S2) Science (2S3) Has CTE Concentrator status by end of the report year. Oregon Department of Education 9
3S Series: Postsecondary Placement (3S1) Denominator Numerator Left secondary education in the year preceding the report year In the denominator Identified by ODE data partners as engaged in a qualifying postsecondary placement during the fall quarter of the report year. Had CTE Concentrator status by end of secondary education Oregon Department of Education 10
4S Series: Non-Traditional Program Enrollment (4S1) Denominator Numerator Has CTE Concentrator status by the end of the report year IN THEIR PRIMARY PROGRAM In the denominator Identified with either one of the genders considered non-traditional for the CTE POS. Note: Nonbinary students are always nontraditional by gender in programs associated with a traditional gender. Their PRIMARY PROGRAM enrollment for the report year is in a CTE POS federally associated with a traditional gender. Oregon Department of Education 11

Secondary CTE Enrollment Status Basics CTE Enrollment Status is based on number and type of CTE credits completed with (Perkins) passing grades (A, B, C, P, S) in a given CTE program. CTE Enrollment Status is at the student-program level. Each CTE student has an enrollment status relative to each of their CTE programs. There are three (3) Enrollment Status categories: 1: CTE Enrollee (informal) 2: CTE Participant (formal) 3: CTE Concentrator (formal) Students are classified with their highest status achieved in the given program. Oregon Department of Education 13
Secondary CTE Participant & CTE Concentrator CTE Participant CTE Concentrator Minimum passed CTE course credits: 0.5 Minimum passed CTE course credits: 2.0 Skill level requirements: none Skill level requirements: minimum of 1.0 passed CTE course credits in intermediate or advanced Oregon Department of Education 14
Many Student Cohorts, One Report Year Report year = school year in which the tracked activity occurred Traffic Light Reports are not tied to a specific cohort. Report Year = 8 different student cohorts for the 8 performance indicators. Oregon Department of Education 15
Annual CTE Data Events By-Event Summaries (Secondary CTE) Oregon Department of Education 16
Secondary Career Pathways Report Secondary Career Pathways is an Oregon State grant for CTE. Issued to submitting institutions in fall. Not a public report. Each program s student-credit and CTE IRC histories are evaluated to determine each program s disbursement-year share of this annual-lump-sum funding source. Oregon Department of Education 17
ODE Program Update Carly Sichley is the Data Owner (DO) for this Application-based data submission. A log each CTE program s courses, skill sets, teacher certifications, and more. Mandatory at the start of each school year. CTE Sites and School Districts complete their portion of this by late October. CTE Grant Managers complete their portion of this by early December. ODE Education Specialists complete their portion of this by early January. Oregon Department of Education 18
Perkins 90% Report Validation Perkins is a federal grant for CTE. Accessed via Central Login to ADI (Achievement Data Insight) by CTE administrators. Two-week Validation open window in mid-January. Closed (historical) reports are available all year. Detail tab shows the institution s CTE history for each student-program pairing. Summary tab shows institution/program performance along 8 metrics of supporting CTE students through academic milestones. All Student and student group results. Oregon Department of Education 19
Perkins Consolidated Annual Report Data Section CTE data is just 1 of 4 sections in the CAR (Consolidated Annual Report). An ODE and HECC workgroup collaborates to submit this federal report. Reports statewide Oregon counts / performance for All Students and 28 student groups Secondary: 8 metrics and 2 levels of CTE engagement Postsecondary: 3 metrics and 2 levels of CTE engagement (prepared by HECC) Oregon Department of Education 20

Includes CTE WBL data for applicable student-program milestones. Uses Program Update from the same school year as base of validating applicable CTE program activity. Oregon Department of Education 23
ODE CTE Course A Consolidated Collections collection completed by CTE Sites/ SDs in spring/summer. Requires all student-course engagements, even those with non-passing grades. Uses CTE Student from the same school year as the base of student ID verification. Uses Program Update from the same school year as base of validating CTE data Includes the following for each CTE Course-Section engagement: CTE program code CTE course name CTE course-section number CTE course-section credit value (not a GPA value) Student s earned grade in the CTE course-section Oregon Department of Education 24
