Enhance the UK is a user-led charity focusing on disability awareness and communication. They offer training, workshops, and resources to promote inclusivity. WHO WE ARE: Enhance the UK is a user-led disability awareness charity that changes society s view of disability and communication in the modern world. We deliver disability awareness training and British Sign Language workshops to businesses and schools all over the UK and beyond. We audit organisations on their levels of internal and external inclusion. We provide informative and free resources to all who which to educate themselves on accessibility and inclusion. We support disabled people and their loved ones in receiving all the information, education and awareness possible in order to have happy, fulfilling and responsible relationships and sex lives.

THE LOVE LOUNGE Non expert sexperts answering questions on dating, sex, relationships and love. Questions around disclosure, confidence, pain and positions. An online forum that all can visit to ask questions and review answers anonymously the only forum of its kind on sex and disability!
RSE IN SCHOOLS Petitioning to ensure that inclusive sex education is introduced in schools and educational establishments all over the UK. RSE is currently not accessible to many disabled bodies are not shown in videos, and written information is often not accessible to those with sensory and learning impairments. A distinction also needs to be made when considering differing impairments and needs; the requirements of physically disabled young people can be vastly different from those with learning disabilities. Disabled women are almost three times as likely to be sexually abused than their non-disabled peers.
SEX AND CARE For disabled children with care plans, sex is rarely discussed, if ever. Young men, in particular, are being accused of aggression and harassment, when sexual frustration is really the root of the problem. An increase in awareness, education and comfort around disability and sex would ensure satisfaction and safety for many. Discussion around sex and disability by professionals in this field would decrease the taboo no end.
DISCLOSURE Especially in the world of online dating, many disabled people are unsure whether or not to disclose their impairments on their dating profiles. Whilst it is their choice entirely, we can help them to understand the pros and cons of doing so, and also increase their confidence in this area at the same time.
DEVOTEEISM Devotees are sexually aroused by, and attracted to, disabled people because of their impairment. Some disabled people feel liberated by this, others are disgusted by it. It is vital that, whatever their opinion, disabled people are educated on this topic so that they can have the autonomy to make their own sexual decisions in a positive way, and can work towards ensuring their own safety at all times.
SEXUAL AIDS Sex is sometimes better with a little extra something in the mix. This is no different for disabled people! The sex industry is slowly, but finally, changing, with companies releasing sex toys for those with limited dexterity, grip, movement or feeling. E.G. HotOctopuss. Mobility aids can also become sex aids: think of a hoist as a sex swing, or a bedrail as a bondage tool. There is currently a huge grey area for those who live in care homes and require assistance to use sex toys for sexual release. Understandably, care workers shy away from this for fear of being disciplined for misconduct with a vulnerable adult so what other outlets are there? Currently, very few.
