  3. 6 WORD MEMOIR MEMOIR:Related to our memories. Our memories make up our life story. Six word memoirs are a form of storytelling. Your responsibility? Tell us about your life in six words! You CANNOT write six unrelated words but it also doesn t have to be a complete sentence You will be graded on ideas/content, word choice, voice, and your PowerPoint slide (picture and font for memoir)

  4. 6 WORD MEMOIR EXAMPLES Music said everything I never could. Never satisfied always looking for opportunity. I can t keep my own secrets. Play it safe. Go absolutely nowhere. Never too old to reinvent yourself. Silly grin frozen on my face. I m not throwing away my shot. Rock bottom? Hey, I like climbing. Sleep: ancient memory to new parent. It all changed in an instant. Art is what I live for. Music heals a tired, troubled soul.

  6. BRAIN BREAK You have five minutes You can: read a book, draw a picture, take a nap, chat with friends, do homework for another class, write, go to the bathroom/get a drink of water, etc. No technology

  7. SOPHOMORE BASELINE ASSESSMENT Just do your best. This is a BASELINE. I will read the article to you. Answer the four multiple choice questions. This should take about 5-10 minutes. Writing Prompt: It goes without saying that sleep is important, especially in a student s life. Using the evidence the article provides, and your own experiences, take a stand on the importance of sleep in the life of yourself and others your age. Consider the types of tasks you are being asked to perform in school each day.
