  3. Presenters Tanner Gers, American Foundation for the Blind Tanner Gers joined AFB in 2019, after serving for several years as Executive Director of My Blind Spot. As the Business Development Lead for AFB Consulting, Tanner is responsible for identifying, maturing, tracking, and closing sales leads for AFB Consulting. Jason Taylor, UsableNet Jason C. Taylor is the Chief Innovation Strategist and Advisor to the UsableNet CEO with nearly 20 years of experience in usability and accessibility. He has been an active member of the accessibility and usability communities since 2001, which started with leading partnerships between UsableNet, Macromedia (now Adobe), and The Nielsen Norman Group. Joseph DiNero, Helen Keller Services for the Blind Joseph is an Assistive Technology Specialist at Helen Keller Services for the Blind, a non profit organization that offers a wide range of services and programs for people of all ages who are blind or have vision impairments. Joe also applies his technical background in his work for UsableNet as Lead Digital Accessibility Tester.

  14. Who is your ideal tester? Detail oriented Actively uses Websites or Apps everyday Actively uses assistive technology everyday Familiar with industry sites and apps to be able to compare experiences Ability to be able to approach testing like your average customer A technology background may also be a plus when communicating results.

  15. How can you find testers from the disability community? Hire staff with disabilities specifically for usability testing Direct recruiting Third party recruiters
