  2. SYNOPSIS Brief summary of the project Re tla kgona Disability started in 2012 August, It was situated at Moletjie Ga- Mabiloane in Polokwane. This centre was opened to accommodate people with disabilities. They must be visible to take part in the community. We have 88 disabled people, 58 women and 30 men. We decided to do vegetable garden to provide vegetables to the community. Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

  3. OBJECTIVES What did the process/project set out to do? To create jobs for the community To prevent poverty To encourage people with disability to take part in the community Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

We hold monthly meetings We keep records and file all the documents Write minutes, signing attendance register Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.

RESULTS Please share some of your results for example: Women s empowerment Rosah Ngoetjana She is proud of joining this Organisation because she can make their own vegetable garden in the backyard and sell to the community. Public participation We educated about farming and share problems accounted in our work Media coverage (including social media) Capacity building We attended workshop on how to plant and watering vegetables. Changes in gender attitudes at individual and community level They do their own vegetable garden in their backyard. They buy seedlings from us. School Children make their own vegetable gardens in their school yard for feeding . Any other changes Men for change Phineas Makgakga is happy about working in this Organisation Because it keeps him busy unlike going to the shops and get vegetables to feed his family Voice and Choice!   10. CHALLENGES AND LESSONS LEARNT What have been the main challenges? How have these challenges been overcome? What lessons have been learned? How will the learning be applied? Lack of funds Lack of water Negative influences from the community Neglect of disability people by family members Farmers day-How to cultivate, survive and marketing Exposure day- experience of farming and to deliver best vegetables to the market.   11. SUSTAINABILITY AND REPLICATION How can the work be sustained/kept going? How can the work be cascaded to other organisations? Plant more crops and sell Asking for donations Plant more crops for the year not seasonally and it is the needs for the customer. Voice and Choice! Empower women, End Violence.
