Chapter One Ellen was in a hurry to get to ballet class. She was dancing and her underwear was falling down. Austin had the same secret as Ellen the secret was they both wore woolen underwear.
Chapter Two Ellen thought third grade was going to be fun. Ellen came over to Austines house. Ellen dress ripped and Otis saw her underwear.
Chapter Three Ellen got muddy and Austine cleaned her skirt. They went back to class and Ellen brought her beet [witch is a rare flower]. Ellen got to clap erasers she wanted to clap erasers for a long time
Chapter Four It was Spring brake Austine and Ellen were going to the library. They went past some houses and they wanted to go there. Ellen got her hose and stuck it the water.
Chapter Five Early one morning in August Ellen roller- skated to Austines house. Austine said one morning she said we should wear matching dresses Ellen agreed. The dresses were not made the same.
Chapter Six The bell rang and they all went in to the hallway. Ellen got to be a substitute rat in the play that they were doing. The play was over.
Chapter Seven Weeks has past and the girls did not speak. Both girls got to clap erasers. Ellen and Austine were friends again!
