What is initiative The child s ability to use independent thought and action to meet his or her needs Choose to do something that is challenging Shows interest in learning something new Start or organize play with others
What is Self-Regulation The child s ability to respond to many different emotions using words and actions that are appropriate for the different situations he/she encounters Handle frustration well Play well with others Accept another choice when his/her first choice is not available Listen to or respect others
What is Attachment/Relationships The child s ability to promote and maintain mutual, positive connections with other children and significant adults Show affection for familiar adults Look forward to activities at home classroom Ask adult to play with or read to him/her Seek help from children/adults when necessary
My Teaching Practices D aily Routine are planned such as meals, rest time, transitions for at home learning E nvironment includes indoor and outdoor spaces and toys, materials- packets for at home classroom, and resources, treats, that help with home-school connections C aring Connection includes the healthy, safe, and nurturing practices to support and interact with children individually and collectively. A ctivities and Experiences are intentional, planned as well as authentic unplanned based on student interest and parent feedback Partnerships with Families involves the important adults in a child s life through such partnership families and teachers work together to plan and implement individualized learning experiences at home classroom via virtual and or telephonic communication Monthly Family Projects

Here in the home of the friendly frogs classroom our incentives plans are Thank you for sharing your little one with us! Students will be encouraged- capable, connected and contribute. Encouragement s are, weekly recognition, prize box, stickers and kids w/ character certificates via take home packets.
