Morning Routines 8.30am: Students drop off their bags, and then go straight to the playground. 9.00am Mondays: Whole school assembly. Parents welcome to attend.

TEN Targeted Early Numeracy Specially designed activities with the aim of students becoming flexible with numbers. Teach the how to...the why and how to explain what they have learnt to others. Focused on addition and subtraction
Support Programmes EAL/D English as an Additional Language/ Dialect LaST Learning and Support Teacher NAP New Arrivals Program
EAL/D-English as an Additional Language or Dialect Approximately 93% of our students are from Non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB) In our school we have over 40 languages represented. Top 5 languages: Tamil, Hindi, Gujarati, Telugu and Punjabi.
The EAL/D teacher Role Support within the classroom Focus on talking and listening Provide students with opportunities to build on their current knowledge or build new knowledge of the English language Use a variety language based talking and listening activities that focus on grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure Provide language experiences to assist students in their reading and writing
Additional Programs SPORT DAY: Wednesday Students will require a water bottle, hat, sport shoes, sunscreen (home). Need to wear sports uniform to school. LIBRARY Each class has a different day for library. Check with your child s class teacher. SCRIPTURE Classes are held on Thursday each week and run for 30 minutes

Home Reading Read daily with your child In term 2 we will start our home reading program Let your teacher know if you can not access our online reading program Wushka
Health Care Plans/ Allergies Any health care plan or change of health care plan needs to be forwarded to the office ASAP. The information in your child s health care plan/s will be relayed to relevant staff. Attendance Absent notes are required on the first day back following an absence and within 7 days. Applications for extended leave are required prior to leave being taken.
School Fees School package notes have been sent home. Included in the school package is the cost of the Life Education program and Henny Penny hatchings. Kindergarten are supplied with books and pencils. Please help out the school and have the school package fee paid promptly. Additional costs will be incurred for any school based excursions. We appreciate all the donations, thank you.
