2. Different Types of Pet Rat There are lots of different types of pet rats, Including the Dumbo Sphynx, Husky, and Rex breed. Most Rats live between 2 to 3 years. They are very smart and some have even saved lives .

3. Magawa is an African giant pouched rat who was trained to sniff out explosives. He is the first rat to win a medal for bravery.

4. Prehistoric Rats A giant "fossil rat was discovered in South America in 2008. Scientists believe that these prehistoric rats were as big as humans and weighed 1000 Kg. They think that it probably fed on aquatic plants and fruits, because its molars are small and not good for grass or vegetables.
