What is the rule?
‘C’ can be soft or hard so it can make a
soft ‘s’ sound or a hard ‘c’ sound
It makes a soft sound after the letters
‘e’ or ‘i’.
The rest of the time it is a hard sound.
This is a rule we need to try and
remember this when reading and making
spelling choices.
