Academic Orientation 2020 Services and Resources
Daniels On-location Services Daniels Writing Centre The Writing Centre is a resource for all Daniels students seeking assistance with academic writing and related skills in design and visual studies. The Writing Centre offers academic support for integrating written, spoken, and visual communication. Eberhard Zeidler Library The Eberhard Zeidler Library includes dedicated space for collections, study spaces, a group study room, and a section for the faculty's Special Collection. Careers Educator A Career Educator is available to meet with Daniels students to assist with job search strategies, exploring career options, and further education in the Fall and Winter semesters. Appointments can be booked online on (CLNx / https://clnx.utoronto.ca) A wide variety of workshops and programs are offered by the Career Exploration & Education to support your career and further education decision-making and journey.
Academic Success Academic Success Centre The Centre offers lectures, workshops, and group or individual counselling on topics such as time management, procrastination, and taking lecture notes to help you develop the skills, strategies, and competencies that you need to succeed. Understand how YOU learn best and build your skills as you discover tips for acing exams, essays, presentations and more. Learning Skills Strategist Learning Strategists support the development of students study skills and academic strategies. University of Toronto Libraries There are many libraries on campus; this website provides you with information about each library.
Health and Wellness Health and Wellness Services The Health and Wellness team includes family physicians, registered nurses, counsellors, psychiatrists, a dietitian, and support staff. Daniels also has an on-location wellness coordinator. Multi-Faith Centre While the University of Toronto is a secular institution we recognize the important role that faith and worship plays in the lives of many people. Whether you are looking for support around grief, wanting to join a regular meditation group, or wanting to explore interfaith dialogue, you can visit one of the many chaplains.
Housing Services The staff at Housing can help you find a great home. Use your UTORid to login to the Off-Campus Housing Finder to start your search, save and compare your favourite listings, learn about your rights and responsibilities and search for a roommate using the Roomate Finder.
Student Life Career Centre The Career Centre offers employment listings, including work-study postings, volunteer listings, career development workshops and seminars. Fitness and Recreation Whether you are interested in dropping in for a Pilates class, lifting weights on your own, swimming lengths, or taking a regularly scheduled class, you have access to fitness facilities on campus including the Hart House gym, the Goldring Centre, and the Athletic Centre. Housing Services Housing Services offers information, resources, and supports to help students meet their housing needs.
Centre for International Experience The Centre for International Experience (CIE) provides supports to students on such topics as: Learning Abroad opportunities Study or work permits Adjusting to life in Canada Navigating the Canadian health care system
