Comparative Analysis of Electrical Mobility Curricula in European and Western Balkan Higher Education Institutions
This report analyzes existing curricula related to Electrical Mobility in European and Western Balkan HEIs. The workshop conducted at POLIS University in Vienna highlighted the problems and needs of HEIs in the Western Balkans. The report discusses the organizational structure of POLIS University and focuses on the study program "Urban Planning and Management" offered by the Faculty of Planning, Environment, and Urban Management. The study program aims to build capacity in urban planning and contribute to territorial planning reform in Albania.

The faculty had three main specialized courses respectively in Urban Planning, Environmental and Management Studies and Business Management studies. The 3 programs have been the main pillar for capacity building in the field of planning and the total reform of territorial planning legislation in the country, as well as territorial administrative reform, and regionalization towards the EU. Program: ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 Project number: 101082860 General description of the study programme Study program: Environmental studies This study program aims to provide professional training to future environmental researchers, integrating knowledge on global environmental issues and phenomena, and contextualizing and applying them to the Albanian case. Guaranteeing balances for the proper functioning of the entire environmental system requires the treatment of its problems by experts of all levels who use environmental logic in all human interventions, starting from the fact that sensitivity to environmental problems is increasing significantly and in Albania, this within the aspirations for EU integration. The environment and its problems are in the center of attention both on a local scale and on a global scale, making this program very coherent with the demands of the times and the market. Program: ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 Project number: 101082860 As energy based on fossil fuel sources is becoming scarcer than ever, Electric and Hybrid Vehicle there already are practices that allow for more energy-efficient System Technology consumption such as electric or hybrid vehicles. The development of the next generation of fuel-efficient and environmentally responsible 6 ECTS advanced electric and/or hybrid vehicles is one of the many nations top Strategic Environmental priorities. This course will enable students to understand and analyze the Assessment current technology used in vehicles and those used in electric and hybrid ones. Students will understand the environmental impact assessments of both systems and be able to create solutions from sceneries that are relevant to achieving sustainability goals Faculty: Planning, Environment and Urban Management This course will provide general but essential information on Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). It will explain the evolution of the SEA concept, the birth of this concept in the European Union, and the Department: Urban Planning implementation so far; areas of application such as application in Albania (evolution of the concept in the last two decades, case studies, etc.). Program: ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 Project number: 101082860 As innovation is a driving force in the development of new and Smart Business and Finances sustainable markets, smart business practices and financial management, including fundraising, and start-up practices as of essential importance. 3 ECTS The students will understand the fundamentals of management and business administration; business functions: accounting, marketing and Entrepreneurship and business sales, organization, industry analysis, business units, and strategy. The students will get acquainted with the concepts of supply chain Faculty: Planning, Environment management, distribution and logistics, production and quality, and personnel. and Urban Management Business planning is already a very widespread concept in the literature and practice. All organizations, whether private or public, need to plan their future and determine how they will achieve their medium or long- term goals. Successful planning must materialize in a written document, Department: Urban Planning and Management & the Business Plan (BP). The design of the BP represents an essential Environmental Studies element in the private sector, aiming to attract funds, find strategic partners, orient human resources towards objectives and beyond, and define a general line for achieving the objectives. Business planning is just as important in the public sector, although the motivation on which it would be based is somewhat different. Program: ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 Project number: 101082860 The course is developed in one (1) semester. it contains a partial program of Energy and Smart Urban Planning public law and its branches, constitutional law, administrative law, and legal Policy urban planning. The course focuses on general legal knowledge of the main 3 ECTS concepts of democracy, state, basic functions of public administration, the principles of functioning of this administration, the main bodies in the field of Law and Urban Legislation urban planning which are part of Administrative Law which summarizes a complex of norms that regulate the planning and use of the territory. The urban legal framework, ie the regulation of territory as a concept was born in the modern era, to correct and manage the negative effects of derivatives of Faculty: Planning, Environment industrial cities, and this proves once again that urban law is a new complex and Urban Management right rule of law. In conclusion, with the completion of the course, it is intended that the student has acquired the sufficient and necessary knowledge of the main mechanisms of functioning of public administration, Department: Urban Planning and mainly of bodies operating in the field of urban planning, and a mindset of a Management & Environmental necessary legal culture in the future. Studies Legal frameworks stand at the cornerstone of the infrastructures that need to be regulated for the development of smart cities, practices, and technologies within and outside of energy utility and urban planning. This course will enable students to recognize the fundamentals of Civil, Private, and Commercial Law as well as Public Law and its role in regulating the transport- related industry; finally, the students will get acquainted with the governance and regulatory framework of today s transport systems, on global, EU and local levels.
