There, Their and Theyre There: Location Their: Possessive (It belongs to them) They re: Contraction of They are EXAMPLES: The game is being played over there! They re leaving for vacation tomorrow. It is their dog that dug up the bushes.
Your vs. Youre Your: Possessive (It belongs to you) You re: Contraction of You are EXAMPLE: You re the one who owns the dog, this mess is your problem.
Then vs. Than Then: A point in time Than: A method of comparison EXAMPLES: I went to the mall, then I went to the movies. I would rather eat Mexican food than Italian food.
Two, Too and To Two: The number 2 Too: Also or Excessively To: Indicates motion EXAMPLES: Michelle has two dogs and two children. I really liked that, too! We had too much fun! I am going to the grocery store after work.
It s vs. Its It s: Contraction of It is or It has Its: Possessive Form EXAMPLES: Brain s dog is really cute. Its name is Barney. Brain s dog is really cute. It s named Barney.
