Passivity Passivity is not the same as Stalling in Folk style Stalling: not actively wrestling or attempting Passivity: not scoring points, doesn t matter efforts Freestyle Passive Procedure: Verbally Set it up, Action and Attack Ask for Confirmation from Chair, if confirmed, give Warning Ask for Confirmation from Chair, if confirmed, put on 30 sec shot clock Each additionally confirmed Passive is Shot Clock Must have Shot Clock if points aren't scored at 1 minute

Give non offending wrestler 1 pt and choice of par terre or standing Only 2 ordered Par Terre Passives per match, can be same period All additional Passives are 1pt, don t stop bout
Cautions/Negative Wrestling Blocking (Standing or Par Terre) Fleeing the Hold Fleeing the Mat (while in Danger) Brutality Leg Foul (Greco) 2 hands on head Side Cradle Key Lock/Arm Bars These are all things you should verbally be setting up with attentions, or pointing towards, like leg fouls and brutality, then stopping the match. Don t come out of nowhere. Especially when running 3 man mechanics.
Procedure of the Match Identify Red and Blue Wrestlers Shake Hands and Check for Oils/Sweat Acknowledge the Judge and Chair then Start Match Two periods, 3:00 minutes each (2:00 for kids) Score your OPINION on all actions Look for Passivity's, put on shot clock at 1 minute If par terre occurs bring them up after a few seconds DO NOT let 1st period end scorless 30 seconds of break time between periods Check Oils/Sweat Score Actions At conclusion All participants Shake hands, raise winners hand and walk winner forward

Pay Change The following pay structure is primarily designed for Mat/Pairing Officials recruitment, retention and compensation. The pay structures secondary goal is Mat/Pairing Officials satisfaction. The CUSAW Mat Officials pay structure revolves around an hourly rate pay structure that focus on honoring 3 different philosophies 1.Honoring Category Upgrades 2.Honoring Years of Service as Mat/Pairing Officials for CUSAW 3.Honoring number of events worked CUSAW will honor Category Upgrades by paying each Mat/Pairing Official on a scale in accordance with their current Category. M3, PA, P3 Officials and Tech Help shall receive an hourly rate of 15$ an hour M2, P2 Officials shall receive an hourly rate of 16$ an hour M1C, P1C Officials shall receive an hourly rate of 17$ an hour M1, P1, P1E and Head Officials shall receive an hourly rate of 18$ an hour CUSAW will honor Years of Service as a Mat/Pairing Official by paying each Mat/Pairing Official on a scale in accordance with their current Years of Service. Officials with 10+ year of Service will receive an additional 1$ an hour to their starting rate Officials with 20+ year of Service will receive an additional 2$ an hour to their starting rate NOTE: Officials who satisfy the Years of Service requirements must inform the Mat Officials director prior to working their first event. CUSAW will honor the number of events worked as a Mat/Pairing Official by paying each Mat/Pairing Official an additional 1$ for each event. First event, Official receives starting hourly rate Second event, Official receives +1$ to starting hourly rate Third event, Official receives +2$ to starting hourly rate Fourth event, Official receives +3$ to starting hourly rate Fifth event, Official receives +4$ to starting hourly rate Sixth event, Official receives +5$ to starting hourly rate No additional monies shall be awarded past an officials sixth event NO MAT/PAIRING OFFICIAL WILL RECEIVE MORE THAN 25$ AN HOUR
Travel CUSAW no longer recognizes travel pay as a separate expense because travel and work have been combined to one expense, Work Pay. Officials work pay has increased. However, there will be a special travel reimbursement form an official can fill out if they qualify. Officials are not eligible for a travel form unless they have exceeded 100 miles roundtrip. Every mile after the initial 100 miles, CUSAW will pay .25 cents per mile.
Hospitality Rooms Each event is contracted to have more than pizza and water
Rule Changes/Awareness No cautions on offensive wrestler for pushouts, only attentions on each occurrence Parterre, incorrect starting position on top, first offense attention, second offense not a caution, just a loss of position back up to feet Greco Roman Passivity, 1st and 2nd passivity always result in parterre and a point. 3rd passivity or more, only a point. PLEASE TRY NOT TO CALL BOTH PASSIVITIES IN FIRST PERIOD. Look for negative wrestling.
