Senior Design CE 465, 466, 467 C U R R I C U L U M A note from a spring 2019 CE graduate Plain and simple - the senior design project really prepared me for this position. I worked on grading plans, details, bioretention cell soil specifications, and other docs. I was so nervous walking in the first day, wondering how long it would take to become a supporting member on this staff - and I feel I have already contributed to the team...
CE 465, 466, 467 FAQs C U R R I C U L U M Is this required for everyone regardless of catalog? Canoe, bridge, etc? Yes Can I still take advantage of study abroad, intern, other during the Fall Quarter? Yes Permit ONLY You must show up for the Spring meeting to get the application How do I enroll in Senior Design? Should I Take a Minor? Is it worth it? How much extra time is it going to take? What are my options?
Important Info: Minor M I N O R I N F O Minors can enhance your civil engineering experience here at Cal Poly. CE students commonly attempt minors in Geology, Geographic Information System (GIS), Construction Management, Business, etc. Minors typically require an extra 26 to 30 units. However, some units can be double-counted. It is highly recommended you begin your minor at an early stage of your Cal Poly career. Go to the department in which the minor is housed to find more information.
What about GRAD SCHOOL? I heard it was a good idea!! Is it??
Why Graduate School? G R A D S C H O O L Gives you more depth in a single area of specialization. Makes you more marketable to specialized consulting firms. Discuss benefits with your advisor. Recorded Grad Info Session: https://ceenve.calpoly.edu/graduate- degree-programs
