  2. Series MXM Operators Manual Supplement INTRODUCTION If at any time you require advice concerning your tractor, do not hesitate to contact your authorised Case IH dealer. He has factory trained personnel, genuine parts and the necessary equipment to carry out all your service requirements. This Supplement details new features that are available to enhance the specification of tractors in the Case MXM range. The Supplement should be read in conjunction with the Operators Manual supplied with the tractor. Read the Supplement carefully and keep it, together with the Operators Manual, in a convenient place for future reference.   8. SECTION 2 - - CONTROLS, INSTRUMENTS AND OPERATION Hand Throttle Thethrottlelever(1)controlsenginespeed.Pushthe lever forward to progressively increase engine speed. Pull rearward to reduce engine speed. 1 2 Clutch/Inching Pedal When the clutch pedal (1) is depressed the drive between the engine and transmission will be disengaged. Synchro Shift Transmission Use the pedal to transfer engine power smoothly to the driving wheels when moving off or when changing gear. See TRANSMISSION later in this section for further details. 3 Two- -Speed Powershift Transmission Use the pedal to control tractor movement in confined areas orwhen couplingto implements.See TRANSMISSION later in this section for further details. NOTE:Ifthetractorremainsstationaryformorethan 30 seconds with the controls in neutral and the engine running, the clutch pedal must be cycled before drive can be re- -engaged. NOTE: To avoid premature wear, do not use the clutch/Inching pedal as a footrest. 2--4

SECTION 2 - - CONTROLS, INSTRUMENTS AND OPERATION ANALOGUE AND ANALOGUE / DIGITAL INSTRUMENT PANELS Two types of analogue instrument panel are available, dependent upon model and specification level.Figure 4showstheanalogueinstrumentpanel. The upper section of the instrument panels consists of 21 coloured lights (1) which provide operating information or give warning of system malfunction. Both instrumentpanels havethree analoguegauges (2), (3) and (4). 4 The instruments are illuminated when the tractor lights are turned on. The instrument panel is also equipped with an audio alarm function. 5 Indicator and Warning Lights The twenty one coloured lights provide operating information or give warning of system malfunction. The lights are common to both instrument panels and their illumination may be accompanied by a critical or non critical alarm sound. 9. Transmission oil pressure low: Steady light indicates that the transmission lubrication circuit oil pressure is low. Stop the engine and investigate the cause. 2--5
