:
On a goal kick or when the goalie has possession, all
players from the opposing team must move behind the build out
line (located halfway between midfield and the top of the penalty
area) until the ball is in play. The ball is in play when the goalie
releases the ball into play or on a goal kick when the ball has been
kicked and clearly moves. If the team with possession chooses to
put the ball in play before the opposing team is behind the build
out line, they do so accepting the positioning of the opponents and
consequences of how play resumes.
On goalie possession punts
and drop kicks are not allowed.
