WHY CSUSB Accredited by: California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) National Council on Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Apply credential courses toward BA. Bachelor s degree in four to six quarters with GE certification. Credential courses are embedded in the degree. Faculty have national & international reputation as leaders in education. Save thousands of dollars each year compared to a private university. All ECTS courses are on-line Degree is eligible for financial aid.

3. PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES The Bachelor of Arts in Career and Technical Studies (BACTS) is designed to provide candidates who have significant occupational and teaching experience with the opportunity to have that experience count as partial credit toward a baccalaureate degree.

4. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 5-years verifiable work experience in industry sector Completion of AA degree (GE Certification recommended). Minimum Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of 2.00 (C) At least 90 quarter or 60 semester transferable units (remedial classes do not transfer).

5. GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS - 180 UNITS Transfer lower division general education units (60 semester or 90 quarter) University-required upper division general education courses (20 quarter units) EDUC 306 Upper Division Expository Writing (4 units) Natural Science Capstone (4 Units) Humanities Capstone (4 Units) Social Science Capstone (4 Units) Career and technical studies courses in the major (34-45 quarter units) Career and technical evaluation of competency (CTEC) (34- 35 units) The experience must be verified through written examinations, portfolios, personal interviews, demonstrations, and/or other appropriate means of documentation.

Contemporary Issues in Teaching Designated Subjects (4 Units)

Computer Applications for Career and Technical Educators (4 units) ECTS 520. Curriculum Development for Career and Technical Programs (4 units) ECTS 521. Assessing Student Progress (4 units)

8. ADMISSIONS PROCESS 1. File an application through CSU Mentor 2. Submit a non-refundable $55 application fee (check, money order, credit card or atm) 3. Submit official transcripts to CSUSB Undergraduate Admissions Office and Program Coordinator 4. Contact program coordinator for advising and program plan.
