Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship provides workforce training in high-demand areas funded by lottery revenue. The program offers non-credit, workforce-training classes in healthcare, information technology, and industry. Arkansas Workforce Challenge The Workforce Challenge Scholarship was created in the 2017 legislative session and is funded by lottery revenue. Purpose of the scholarship is for workforce training in high demand areas of healthcare, information technology, and industry. Classes are not limited to credit-bearing programs. Non-credit, workforce-training classes also qualify

Arkansas Workforce Challenge Arkansas Workforce Challenge Minimum Eligibility Requirements Must be an Arkansas Resident High school graduate or received high school equivalency Cannot be a current recipient of ACS Student Receives Award Notice You meet the minimum eligibility requirements. By accepting this offer you give ADHE the permission to verify your program with your school. Not a guarantee of award. If student is offered Workforce Challenge and ACS system will default to ACS. Similar to how GDS interacts with ACS.
Congratulations! You meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the Arkansas Workforce Challenge! This notice is not a guarantee of award. ADHE must verify through your school that you are enrolled in an eligible program. That list can be found in the information sheet available in your Youniversal Account. The award amount for Arkansas Workforce Challenge will be limited to the tuition, fees, books, course materials and equipment needed. The award amount shall not exceed $800. To receive this award you must make sure to accept the grant award offer. To do this, log into your ADHE account (click here), click on the Accept/Decline Award link, and follow the instructions. The institution listed in your Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) account is the one designated as your first preference. If you have decided to attend a different Arkansas institution, you must log into your account, edit your profile, and change the institution you plan to attend in the fall term If you have any questions regarding Arkansas Workforce Challenge or your award, please do not hesitate to call the ADHE at 501-371-2000. Is it credit or non-credit Award Amount: The lesser of: $800 The cost of a certificate program or program of study Tuition, fees, textbooks, course materials and any equipment needed for courses Roster will give an error if award amount is over $800.

Academic Challenge Scholarship Academic Challenge Scholarship Arkansas Workforce Challenge Continuing Eligibility Students who successfully complete their program of study will be allowed to reapply for award in another eligible program. Students who receive funding from Workforce Challenge and do not successfully complete their program will be allowed to reapply one time.
Agreements between Institutions Eligible institutions may enter into agreements with other schools, including technical schools, to allow students to take courses at those ineligible institutions
