HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarships
The HOPE Scholarship is a merit based, Georgia scholarship. Students must:
Graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA and
Have taken at least 4 rigorous courses
The Zell Miller Scholarship is an elevated HOPE Scholarship. Students must
Graduate with a minimum 3.7 GPA and
Have taken at least 4 rigorous courses and
Have a minimum 1200 SAT
When calculating GPA, GSFC (Georgia Student Finance Commission)
excludes the following:
Non-core classes
Weighted GPA (4.0 is the max); GFC then adds .5 weight to AP classes
All classes taken before 9
th
