A-1 Community Housing Services HISTORY A-1 Community Housing Services (A-1CHS) is a non-profit HUD Approved Counseling Agency that was established in California, in 2016. It is our intention to help improve housing in California, through a variety of program targeting the issues of First Time Home Buyers, Foreclosure Prevention, Credit Assistances, Financial/Money Management Education, Homeless and Rental Assistance

Alameda County Foreclosure Prevention Program for Property Owners (FPP) Presented by: Mariana Herrera from A -1 Community Housing Services
Program Overview The new program, approved by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors on August 2023, is the new Alameda County Foreclosure Prevention Program (FPP). The Alameda County Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) has partner with A-1 Community Housing Services an Alameda County based Non-Profit who will serve as the program administrator to implement the countywide foreclosure prevention program for small, low-income property owners who were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and during the period of the Alameda County Eviction Moratorium which ended April 29, 2023.
Program Funding and Application Period PROJECTED TIME IS 11-MONTH PERIOD FROM AUG 2023 - JUNE 2024 DEADLINE: JANUARY 31, 2024 FPP HAS APPROXIMATELY $4.2 MILLION IN DIRECT MORTGAGE Program Funding and Application Period ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
Program Guidelines Grants up to $75,000 The applicant must be the property owner The property must be in Alameda County The property owner must reside in Alameda County Property owner may own NO more than 10 rental units Property owners may apply for up to 3 properties Second liens are eligible Property must be minimum of 30 days behind The property owner s income may not exceed (80%) of the Alameda County Median Income

Application Process 1. Submitting application through online portal www.a1chs.org/fpp Save the CASE ID for future reference Submit all required documents to your case manager for full review 2. Application Review and Decision: If approved fund will be disbursed to your lender If denied you have 14 days to appeal your decision
