  2. Who are Active Norfolk? Hosted by Norfolk County Council Strategic lead for sport and physical activity One of 45 County Sports Partnerships since 2006 Wide range of partners Funded mainly by Sport England

  3. To pursue a future for Norfolk where being physically active is just what people do . Where financial circumstances, health and ability aren t a barrier to exercise. Where opportunities are designed around individual and community needs and promoted so effectively that everyone knows about them and why they should be involved. Our mission Our mission

  5. In order to make this mission a reality, in the lifetime of this strategy we will focus on 4 key areas to help bring about change: Our priorities Our priorities Physical activity for physical health and mental well-being Active environments Strengthening communities Children and young people

  6. Holiday Activities and Food Programme

Local coordinator objectives HAF model aims to support high quality provision coordinated across a local area MAP AWARD FUNDING SUPPORT PROVIDERS PROMOTE PROVISION WORK WITH OTHERS DEVELOP SUSTAINABLE APPROACHES PROVISION We want children attending clubs to: Eat more healthily Be more active Take part in engaging and enriching activities Be safe and not isolated Have greater knowledge of health and nutrition Be more engaged with school and other services Have greater knowledge and awareness of holiday club provision

And a few other requirements: Healthy food Inclusive and accessible provision (e.g. SEND and rural children) Minimum standards aim to support high quality provision Enriching activities Provision offered to all FSM children in the local authority At least 4 hours for 4 days a week. For 4 weeks in the summer, and for a week in Easter and Christmas. Physical activities Nutritional education Policies and procedures

HAF in Norfolk HAF in Norfolk Active Norfolk to coordinate programme 23,000 eligible children and young people in c16,000 households 12,482 Primary age children 2.7m investment from DfE HAF funding will be used to enable free access for eligible children and young people to holiday activities Given pandemic, and current restrictions, majority of HAF offer at Easter will be largely remote An opportunity to align HAF with the DfE s Summer Catch Up programme Norfolk's HAF programme will be overseen by the Children and Young People s Partnership Board
