Why are we here? Research: 48% of people experiencing homelessness have brain injury. Experience: Hidden disability, low levels of awareness and knowledge. Impact: Difficulties following ABI may impact on a person s ability to access and use services.
Serious Case Reviews Tom Somerset Acquired brain injury and mental capacity assessments must be foregrounded. Rochdale Mr M Acquired brain injury assessments diverted staff from considering and addressing other health needs. Consider ABI and its impact on capacity, but ensure all health and social care needs are addressed.
