Accessing medicines for those near the end of life Accessing medicines for those near the end of life The pharmacies listed on the following pages have committed to stocking a range of medicines used in palliative care Many other community pharmacies also hold these palliative care medicines and in the first instance, where possible, prescriptions should be presented at the person s local/nominated pharmacy The pharmacies listed here can be used in an emergency when the person s usual pharmacy is unable to dispense the medicines needed (either due to limited stock or because it is closed) You may wish to call ahead before travelling to confirm whether a pharmacy is able to provide the medicines needed
