Pre-Event Social Media Content Pre-event social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn that include relevant hashtags, event links and suggested images...

  6. Are you ready to help amplify the conference? The 2022 Conference on Landscape Architecture Needs Your Voice! The actions we take as individuals toward promoting the conference while they may seem insignificant on their own have a profound impact when taken collectively. With this Marketing Toolkit, we hope to provide you with the resources necessary to promote your participation in the EXPO easy through your social media channels. You will find a wealth of information about the EXPO, such as educational offerings, networking and language to share with your customers in the industry.

  7. With good social posts come good rewards Each month that you post about your participation in the 2022 EXPO you will receive a complimentary marketing benefit in return. When creating your post please use the following series of hashtags: #ASLA2022 #ASLAEXPO August Company name highlighted in listing of the conference mobile app through a special icon September Company name and hyperlink to company website on www.ASLAconference.com October - Company name and booth number included in EXPO highlight email sent directly to every registered attendee prior to the conference November - Be entered into a drawing to receive an entertainment activation station in your booth your choice of a popcorn machine, soft pretzels or ice cream bar distribution. We will also advertise your activation station with one push notification to attendees through the conference mobile app to encourage them to visit you.

Hashtag Library | Use hashtags to increase reach and discoverability of the event Content Hashtags Trending Hashtags Topic Hashtags Location Hashtags Branded Hashtags Content hashtags are essentially the keyword hashtags that you tag at the end or inside of your post. You can easily find out which hashtags are trending by checking out your sidebar on Twitter s desktop. The trending hashtags will change day to day, try to include a relevant hashtag. These are hashtags that are generally associated with the topic of your event. Use hashtags to show your location and use trending location hashtags to increase reach. A branded hashtag is a hashtag that your company has created and promotes as a way of tagging your company directly. #ASLAEXPO #ASLA2022 #PlaygroundDesign #ShapedbyPlay #Green #landscapers #landscapearchitecture #landscape #landscapedesign #architecture #SanFrancisco #Moscone #USA #SF #California #ASLA #ASLANational #WLAM #EveryFriday Days of the Week Hashtags Get creative. A note about hashtags: There are several trending hashtags to utilize depending on the day of the week. #MondayMood #SundayFunday #TuesdayThoughts #WednesdayWisdom #FaceMaskFriday Hashtags help you gain reach, putting your participation in the EXPO in front of conference attendees and clients who might not have known about it before. That, in turn, can help you build interest and raise awareness.

  10. Social Media Best Practices Twitter Users heavily search for hashtags on Twitter as a way to search for articles, information, and other users. Because of the 140-character limit on Twitter, keep your hashtags concise and focus on those that are popular, trending and fit into the context of your copy. Posting multiple times on Twitter is preferred and recommended (anywhere from 5-10 tweets per day is average). RT (retweeting) accounts that are using your hashtags or tagging you is also best practice. Facebook Hashtags are not as popular on Facebook. Tagging, however, becomes very important on Facebook. You can tag someone or and account in a photo or in the text of your post. Tagging will allow your post to be seen by the tagged person s followers, gaining you more exposure.

  11. Social Media Best Practices Instagram Hashtags are heavily searched on Instagram and are a way for people to discover new accounts to follow. We recommend using ten to twelve hashtags that relate to your post. Instead of putting them in the description of your post, you can put them in the comment section so people aren t flooded with your hashtags when reading the description of your post. Instagram only allows you to link one website in your bio. Make it count. If you need to list multiple pages and links, look into a link host account (LinkTree, Bit.ly, etc.). Additionally, links do not hyperlink within the text of the posts on Instagram.

  12. Social Media Best Practices LinkedIn Out of all the LinkedIn best practices, possibly the most important is producing content that is audience-specific. What this means is you have to develop content that people in your industry actually want to read. You want people to find you when they search. Whether it s a personal or company page, it should be optimized with the words you want to own your keywords. Insert them throughout your posts in a natural way and boost your ranking. Post up to once a day and aim for a new post every weekday. Reply, comment, ask questions and join LinkedIn groups to extend the reach of your content.

  13. Pre-Event Social Media A recent study showed that there are nearly as many posts leading up to an event as there were during the event itself. This makes the buildup to the EXPO a prime time to engage with both potential attendees and those who ve already registered. In the weeks and days leading up to the EXPO, we need to spread the news far and wide. Not only will this help promote the EXPO, it can also generate even more foot traffic for your booth and sponsored activities, and more.
