Exploring Microcredentials in Higher Education: Insights from Scotland Collaborative Cluster
Collaborative cluster in Scotland, consisting of 11 higher education institutions and JISC, aims to understand the benefits of microcredentials for students, staff, employers, and alumni. Various stakeholder groups are actively involved in investigating the potential advantages and ensuring a comprehensive understanding. The project focuses on language accreditation, university/industry partnerships, flexibility, and stakeholder priorities. Microcredentials and digital badges are viewed positively across stakeholders, emphasizing the need for a common terminology and accepted quality assurance framework for future development.

Collaborative cluster involving 11 HEIs in Scotland and JISC Seeking to understand the potential benefits that microcredentials could afford to all stakeholder - students - university staff - employers - employees/alumni, But need to make sure that these stakeholders have a good understanding.
