Utilizing the Voronoi Plots Algorithm, this project focuses on designing diverse building typologies for Merketal, incorporating row houses, multi-family buildings, public spaces, and green areas. From selecting irregular shapes to transferring them into green spaces with trees, the process involves dividing plots, offsetting structures, and creating a mix of typologies to enhance the urban environment.

  1. Parametric Buildings for Merketal Parametric Building Design Using Voronoi Plots Algorithm: Step 5: Pick irregular shapes and transfer into green areas with trees using populate geometry. Inputs: Boundary, Polygons, Midpoint, Centroids, Size, Angles, Distance, Minimum and Maximum values. Step 1: Create Row Houses typology by picking widest plots. Step 6: Create multi-family building by creating a wide Voronoi parcels with 40 meters difference. Step 2: Create the built-up surface by offset 5 meters from street and 15 meters in depth Step 7: Offset buildings from the Voronoi parcels with same street offset. Create a middle courtyard. Outputs: Street Segmentes, Street Block Surfaces, Plot Sizes, Plot Pattern, Public Space Step 3: Divide the plots using Voronoi parcellation with 15 meters distance. Step 8: Repeat picking irregular in the Voronoi shapes to turn into green areas. Step 9: Pick buildings to mark as public buildings by color. Step 4: Create free-standing using Voronoi by offsetting parcels by 2.5 meters. Typology 1: Row Houses and Free-standing Typology 2: Multi-family and Green Areas Typology 3: Mixed Typologies Student: Rana Saadallah
