The Standard of Family 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
For as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body so also is Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12 HCSB
For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13 HCSB
So the body is not one part but many. 1 Corinthians 12:14 HCSB
But now God has placed each one of the parts in one body just as He wanted. 1 Corinthians 12:18 HCSB
Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27 HCSB
Why is Paul addressing the Thessalonians about Leadership?
We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, 1 Thessalonians 5:12 ESV
and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. 1 Thessalonians 5:13 ESV
submitting to one another in the fear of Christ. Ephesians 5:21 HCSB
But I want you to know that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of the woman, and God is the head of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:3 HCSB
Their is equality in the church, but not equal equity.
We are equally all sinners and equally all saved through Jesus Christ.
How are we to treat those in roles and responsibilities of leadership over us?
And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, Ephesians 4:11 12 ESV
until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, Ephesians 4:13 ESV
so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Ephesians 4:14 ESV
shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 1 Peter 5:2 3 ESV
The one who welcomes you welcomes Me, and the one who welcomes Me welcomes Him who sent Me. Matthew 10:40 HCSB
A person should consider us in this way: as servants of Christ and managers of God s mysteries. In this regard, it is expected of managers that each one of them be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:1 2 HCSB

No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 HCSB
I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them. John 17:26 HCSB
To love sacrificially is to make another known instead of yourself. It s about their glory, not ours.
For it is written in the law of Moses, Do not muzzle an ox while it treads out grain. Is God really concerned with oxen? 1 Corinthians 9:9 HCSB
Or isnt He really saying it for us? Yes, this is written for us, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes should do so in hope of sharing the crop. 1 Corinthians 9:10 HCSB
A shepherd that is faithful and heathy, equals a church will be faithful and heathy.
Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:7 8 HCSB
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17 HCSB

So Moses said to Joshua, Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand. Exodus 17:9 ESV
Will you and I assemble to Christ and be the Church we are called out to be?
