  1. Belong to the Day and Avoid Being Surprised at Night! 1 Thessalonians: Living Between the Ages 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

  2. Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:1 2 ESV

  3. While people are saying, There is peace and security, then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 1 Thessalonians 5:3 4 ESV

  12. katheudo [2518] sleep - to be spiritually asleep, to be careless and unconcerned about sin or the performance of one s duty.

  13. Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1 ESV

  14. To not follow Jesus, is to slumber and sit at the feet of death.

  15. Are we sitting at the feet of death in slumber, or sober and alert at the feet of Jesus?

  16. A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man. Proverbs 24:33 34 ESV

  17. A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the arms to rest, and your poverty will come like a robber, your need, like a bandit. Proverbs 6:10 11 HCSB
