Shekhar Mishra conducted various tests and coordination activities on behalf of ICEBERG Neutrino Division at Fermilab. FEMB tests with BNL firmware revealed responsiveness improvements in LN2 compared to air. Furthermore, FEMBs in CTS with DAQ displayed consistent channel behavior differences between air and LN2. Field Cage issues were addressed, with ongoing measurements and testing procedures in progress.

  1. Summary of Work Done 0418 to 0425 Shekhar Mishra On Behalf of ICEBERG (BNL, CSU, Fermilab, LSU, PSL, SLAC, UCI, UK) Neutrino Division, Fermilab ICEBERG TPC Coordination Meeting 4/25/2019

  2. FEMB test with BNL Firmware We tested 4 FEMBs in Air using BNL Firmware and found significant number of channels to be unresponsive We installed all the BNL software on a Fermilab PC and put one FEMB in Cryogenic Test Stand in LN2. - All the unresponsive channels become responsive in LN2 - When the FEMB was brought to room temperature in Air unresponsive channels returned. This FEMB with 3 additional FEMBs have been sent to BNL for further testing.

  3. 6 FEMBs in CTS with DAQ We tested 6 FEMBs (2 at a time) using the BU firmware and DAQ system - Unresponsive channels in Air at Room temperature - Nominal channels in LN2 - This is reproduceable 4/25/2019 Mishra | Plan for returning TPC back in the Cryostat 3

  4. Field Cage We had reported about 1 G Ohm resistor issue last week and measurement of current fluctuation on LAr Fill side of the Field Cage. Current ~0.75 uAmp Consistent with 15 GOhm Voltage 2 kv Current ~1.2 uAmp Voltage 10kv Time in Mins Time in Mins Bottom FC (LAr Fill Side) when attached by wires to Right Side of the Field Cage cannot go beyond 2 kv Bottom FC (LAr Fill Side) can be taken to 10 kv Field Cage has been removed from APA to test each side on Bench 4/25/2019 Mishra | Plan for returning TPC back in the Cryostat 4
