Main Ideas Identity- Everyone is different, including Stargirl, so be yourself! Friendship-Stargirl s friend Dori is always loyal to her and stays right by her side no matter what. Be a good friend and nice to everyone.
Prologue Leo is the narrator (the person telling the story) and he is in the 11thgrade.
Chapters 1-3 On the first day of school there is a new girl named Stargirl Caraway. She does not dress or act like most people.
Chapters 4-6 Stargirl dances around on the football field with the marching band and decided to join the cheerleading team when she was asked to join.
Chapters 7-9 Soon Stargirl becomes the most popular girl at school. The rest of the school starts to act just like her. Stargirl meets a new friend named Dori Dilson who sits with Stargirl at lunch.
Chapters 10-12 Stargirl begins to do things that make the people in her school upset and angry. She does not mind when people do mean things to her, but when others are upset she tries to make them feel better.
Chapters 13-15 Stargirl gives Leo a Valentine s Day card that says, I love you! He was the only one to get a card like this from her.
Chapters 16-18 Stargirl and Leo develop a close relationship and really like each other. However, everyone in the school starts to ignore them completely.
Chapters 19-21 Stargirl loves to do things for other people. She is very observant and likes to leave unsigned greeting cards to people.
Chapters 22-24 Even though Leo likes Stargirl, he wishes she would be like everyone else in the school. At school Leo ignores Stargirl and is even rude to her because everyone else is ignoring her too.
Chapters 25-27 Leo tries to convince Stargirl to change. Even when Stargirl changes to act normal people still ignore her.
Chapters 28-30 Stargirl goes back to her unique self and the only person who talks to her is her friend Dori. Everyone else ignores her including Leo.
Chapters 31-33 After a bad incident happened between Stargirl and a mean girl at school, Stargirl never returned to school again. Leo still thinks about her all of the time even 15 years later.
